They were once known as the highly acclaimed ‘Soulwax’ before moving on under their current alias, 2manydjs.
David and Stephen Dewaele are two Belgian brothers who master the art of blending the finest products of music history to produce a catchy, uplifting, tongue-in-cheek aesthetic which doesn’t fall under any category.
Touching on politically incorrect prog-rock, funky R&B, slamming techno and groove-laden house, 2 Many DJ’s have mixed likes of Destiny’s Child ‘Independent Women’ with 10 CC’s ‘Dreadlock Holiday’, bravely putting their own stamp on celebrated tracks from artists outside the electronic realm.
The ethos behind 2 Many DJ’s is make to you laugh but also enjoy every corner of groovy pop, electro and obvious classics, which is reflected by releases on PIAS Recordings amongst others. Making their Egg LDN debut on Friday 23rd March, the pair are sure to carry out a strenuous work out on the club’s sound system with their spirited collection of old, new and overall euphoric beats.Doorly is a firm favourite at Egg LDN, mainly because of quality mixing skills behind the booth along with a versatile, pumping tune selection which has taken him to Ibiza, Miami, Berlin and lots more.
